Fittings
I am occasionally able to make accessories for production katana, wakizashi and tanto, such as tsuba, seppa and other katana related crafts.
I am able to do simple designs in steel, copper, brass and bronze, mainly utilizing sukashi(cut out) technique, filing and etching. I do not do any carving or hand engraving.
Tsuba are typically 1/8″ thick by about 2 3/4″ – 3 1/2″ diameter and seppa are genrally 1.5mm thick and can be sized to your fittings if wanted.
Steel tsuba are available with copper sekigane.
Patina for steel is typically dark brown to black, rokusho patina is available for copper and brass.
Please see examples below of assorted tsuba, seppa and other fittings.
