Oak Leaf & Acorn Tsuba

I love fall more than any other season and especially up in the mountains, surrounded by trees. There are probably over 20 different varieties of trees near me and most are generous enough to drop their leaves for me to get a closer look.

I picked out a nice oak leaf and acorn I found while walking the dog and scanned them to use as templates for this new tsuba. I’m not sure yet exactly which species of oak they are, maybe red oak.

Mild steel tsuba in octagonal shape with sukashi leaf and acorn and udeneki. copper sekigane. approx 3″ x 1/8″
