This Feilong Swords Kotai katana has just been given a few premium upgrades and is now on sale for a great price.
The tsuka has been rewrapped in imported Japanese red-black silk ito, in tsumami-maki style, specially treated for extra durability and longevity. I’ve been involved in the production katana business for a long time and I’ve never seen one offered with this tsukamaki style before, even swords for twice or three times the price. This is truly one of a kind.
A pair of stunningly beautiful, polished and lacquered samegawa panels have also been added, along with a new set of iron catfish menuki.
Two new custom made black delrin mekugi hold the tsuka firmly in place and to finish it all off, a brand new premium imported white synthetic silk sageo is included.
This sword does have a small flaw. The kissaki tip could use some touching up. I tried my best to show the area clearly in the pictures below but it’s actually much harder to notice in person and does not negatively affect the sword’s function at all.
The tsuka measures approximately 10″ but all other stats are as listed here on the Kotai Katana page
